The Points Edit

Search is free, forever.
Deal alerts $6 a month, cancel in one tap.

One switch reprices the whole map. Points is what the seat costs out of the stash already sitting in your bank app. Cash is the same seat for sale today. Flip it back and forth. That gap is the product.

Not to scale. Priced to the point. Drag the map, tap a place.

The portal price is the sucker price

Your bank app will happily sell you the seat on the pass above, through its own travel portal, at one cent a point. Move the same points to an airline partner first and the seat costs what the pass says. The Points Edit only ever shows the partner price, then walks you through the transfer before you book, so the seat cannot vanish while your points are in the air.

Booked last week, for points

Real searches end as passes in phone wallets, so that is where our members keep the receipts. Three from this week, names shortened the way wallets shorten them.

ORD → LIS · 2 seats

Business both ways for an anniversary. Paid 124,000 points + $22.40. The same pair of seats was $7,880 in cash that morning.

Jess & Pri · Evanston · Booked Tuesday

ORD → HND · 1 seat

Solo trip, booked on a lunch break after the alert landed. Paid 84,000 points + $47 instead of $4,610. "I checked the cash price three times. It was not a typo."

Marcus T · Logan Square · Booked Friday

ORD → MEX · 4 seats

Whole family home for a wedding. Paid 84,000 points + $248 in taxes for four, against $3,560 cash. The kids think points grow on the good card.

The Okafor family · Oak Park · Booked Sunday

The Edit, by subscription

  • Alerts when a seat your stash can afford appears from O'Hare, usually gone inside a day.
  • The transfer walkthrough on every deal, in the order that cannot strand your points.
  • Cancel in one tap. Booked passes stay booked. They were always yours.

Demo form: nothing is sent anywhere. At the real newsstand this is one email a week, written by a person who flies on points.

Taxes are real money

Every pass on this map shows its taxes and fees beside the points, from $11.20 to Paris at $189 with its surcharges. If a deal's fees eat the saving, the pin says so instead of hiding it in the checkout.

Seats at these prices are few

Airlines release a handful of saver seats per flight. The pass says how many were left when we last looked, and alerts exist because Tuesday's seat is gone by Friday.

We never touch your points

The Edit finds and proves the price. You transfer and book inside your own bank and airline accounts, following our steps. No logins shared, no points warehoused with us.

Which points work here

Transferable bank points from Chase, Amex, Capital One, Citi and Bilt, plus most airline miles. Fixed-value points that only spend inside a portal get the honest one-cent answer.
