The frame leaning on the hive is the inspection, mid-decision: capped honey across the top, bees all over it, smoker lit on the grass. Everything Broodbox records starts exactly here, gloves on. The season scrubber under the elevation drives this apiary too.
Drawing BB-01 · Product elevation · One season
Broodbox, drawn to scale
An inspection log for two to twenty hives, issued as a blueprint. It runs on the phone you already take to the apiary and works out of signal in the field. The drawing opens in June, at full strength. Scrub the season under it: the colony builds, threatens to swarm, fills supers and settles, exactly as Broodbox watches it do.

Roof colors match the field, because nobody finds "Hive 7" in the rain, they find the red roof.

Five frames, five questions. The buttons are glove-sized because the hands answering them are gloved and sticky.

The record, as a revision table
Every finished inspection issues a revision. Treatments are shaded, dated in full, and ready for a bee inspector or your own memory next March.
| Date | Revision: seen and done |

Issued · Ohio, 6 hives Flagged charged cells on day 8 of a rainy stretch. Split that evening. Both queens laying by July. First swarm I have not lost in four years.
Issued · Oregon, 18 hives The revision table is what our inspector asked for, treatment dates and all. Printed the cards at the kitchen table in ten minutes.
Issued · First year, 2 hives I inspect with gloves on and answer with my knuckle. The record reads better than my notebook ever did, because there is a record.
