One group. One quiet hour.
Quietline is messaging for a single group that has a life outside the thread. A youth soccer team, a building, a shift. Say when the group goes quiet, and the thread keeps being written while the phones stay still.
Everything below is live. Take hold of either handle on the dial, or use the buttons under it, and watch every message in the thread decide for itself whether it rings tonight or waits for morning.
02 · The quiet hour
Say when the group goes quiet
A full day on one ring. The moss arc is the part of the clock the group holds its messages in. Take hold of either end and drag it around, or give a handle the focus and use the arrow keys, fifteen minutes a press.
03 · The thread
What the group wrote, and when it lands
Twelve messages from one Thursday. The ones written inside the moss are held: they keep the minute they were written and grow a second stamp, the minute they will actually arrive. One of them was marked urgent and went through anyway.
Held messages are delivered in the order they were written, three minutes apart, starting the moment the quiet hour ends.
04 · The morning
One digest, at the end of the hour
This is what the group wakes up to. Not twelve separate vibrations at three in the morning, but one message with the night in it, in order, each line carrying the minute it was written and the minute it arrived.
Nothing is waiting. Every message tonight went out when it was written.
Anything marked urgent still rings, once, and only for the people who are on call. In this group that is the two coaches and nobody else.
05 · What it costs
Six dollars a month, for the whole group
- 01 One quiet hour you set yourself, and you can move it any night of the week.
- 02 Held messages are kept in order and delivered in one digest.
- 03 Urgent messages ring once, for the people you picked.
- 04 Every message keeps both times, written and delivered.
- 05 The whole thread stays on the phone and exports as one plain file.
There is one price because there is one kind of group. No seats, no per-message charge, no annual discount to think about.
