Fellside / Your visit
Up past the lights.
A warm coat.
A slow walk.
A different perspective.
Leave a little time.
Park at the green in our fictional park outside Athens, Ohio. Follow the gravel track up the hill. Arrive at 7:15 PM; we look from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
Bring your questions.
A society volunteer helps you at the telescope. Best for ages 7 and up; younger children can come. Every child stays with an adult.
Dress for standing still.
It is 39°F in our example. Bring layers, sturdy shoes and a dim or red flashlight. Hot chocolate is included.
Access: steep, uneven track; steps to the dome eyepiece. The outdoor telescope pad and lodge toilet are step-free. Discuss access before a real visit.
